The Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee has stated that the committee proposes the elimination or reduction of VAT on essential items like food, housing, and public transportation. The committee has also proposed incentives to encourage job creation by offering tax relief to companies that hire more people.
